I. Course Objectives:
       By the end of this course, students are supposed to:
1-     scan a reading passage to find out answers for specific questions.
2-      form meaningful viewpoints with regard to the passages read.
3-     Develop their ability to use new vocabulary in expressing themselves.


II. Course Syllabus:
The objectives of the course can be best achieved by
1-     Scanning reading passages for key words.
2-     Scanning reading passages for information.
3-     Making inferences and guesses.
4-     Understanding sentences as independent units.

Course Description

This course presents essential words from a variety of common, everyday topic areas, vocabulary which all learners need to know at any early stage of their studies.

Aims
